Creationism and Christianity?

I think for some Christians it's their way of trying to validate what is inherently illogical. Everything that the Bible claims about creation has been shown to be unrealistic and unfathomable by science, and what science has shown to be the most logical source of our existence is quite at odds with the Book of Genesis. People that take that book literally have no choice but to blindly attack evolution, because there is no counter argument. Intelligent Design/Creationism has been discredited countless times, so in the end it all boils down to an unwillingness to accept reality.
