Is there any difference between the newly launched centrino 2 and Intel core 2 duo processor, which is better?

Intel core 2 duo processors have been around in India fora while, whereas the ads for centrino 2 have just come about. I am looking for a new Laptop, but in the Dell India website there is no centrino 2 option only core 2 duo. SO was wondering if there is any difference what is it? and should i wait till Dell comes up with laptop with centrino 2 processors? I am looking for a performance based processor for mid range CAD/Graphics work.
