Just out of curiousity....?

Well i'm 14 and in 9th grade, and my boyfriends 18 and just started college... My brother and his girlfriend are trying to break us up, yet my dad just died and i really think i need a good boyfriend right now. My mom really likes him and she wants me with him, but other people are trying to break us up. My question is. Do you think that age differences really matter, if they are only four years ?
