What is your honest view of Haitians?

They are the descendants of the only black slaves in the western hemisphere to complete a successful slave revolt and established the first black independent nation in western hemisphere. They have many negative stereotypes about them. Why? What is your view of them? And if it is negative, please be courteous and respectful and explain why you feel that way. Because a whole group of people cannot be the same way.
